Hi Alois and Jeff

In addition to my longpips vs nospin question,I am curious-

Longpips are said to need a really fast brush to generate own spin.

But when I use my newly learned anti-nospin stroke (just drive my slightly opened bat forward),it seems like it has some unreadable spin.

When my opponent tries to counterhit it,ball goes to the net.

When he tries to push it,it sometimes goes high, but some players are able to keep pushing this stroke.

When he tries to loop it,it goes to the net.

Is the stroke containing a backspin?
Or what is happening there?

And also, most players are able to keep a pushing rally against my longpips with quite opened bat.

What can cause it?
Longpips should not be able to create so strong backspin, should they?

HI DK,

It is more about the perception of the other player.  The other players often play for some topspin when they see this shot but because the ball has no spin they will hit it into the net.  Also if they have put a little topspin on their shot then it will go out with backspin.

OK,I understand.

The only one strange thing is that some of them failed to lift it with Kreanga-style forehand loop off backspin, what can be called a full-arm loop.

Kreanga looped by this style against Joo's chops.

He uses the full arm swing from the farthest point behind his body.

I am also able to loop a chop like that,of course weaker, but in similar style.

But I never shot a ball into the net this way,if it failed,it has always been behind the table or complete miss.
