Strokes
hi alois and jeff,
i've often heard people mentioning loop kills and loop drives in reviews... what exactly are they?
my coach tells me theyr like loops/topspins but with more speed. i try to put more speed in it but end up brushing it to much and losing a lot of speed as a result . can u tell me how exactly they are to be played and how to put in more speed than spin and yet get the ball onto the table?

Hi Shripathi,
A loop kill is just a term for a faster topspin.
To do this stroke effectively you need to generate more speed with your racket while maintaining the same stroke.
You can move your body more forward with the stroke to generate more speed. Finally if you contact the ball a little flatter this will also lead to more speed. You need to make sure that the contact doesn't become too flat or you will lose the spin and the margin for error on the stroke.
