Hi coaches,

I just received a bat I ordered online: a Donic Waldner Senso Carbon with Mark V (2 mm).

First: On the right bottom of the rubber is printed: "SOFT" - did they send me the correct rubber or is this a special softer version?

(Second, but not important for me as I don’t play in tournaments: the rubber isn’t ITTF approved, right? At least I don’t find it on the ITTF list...)

Thanks in advance!

Hi Thomas,

The word SOFT is on the Mark V rubber.

Take a look at this image which is what the rubber should look like.

This is from the ITTF website where they list the rubbers that are approved.

One of our readers has also pointed out this app that you can access. It is a LARC (List Authorised Racket Coverings) where you can run a search for any rubber.

Hi Alois,

thanks for your detailed answer!

Now I finally found the rubber on the list.

I´m looking forward to playing it for the first time tomorrow and hope it works well with the Waldner Senso Carbon,

which seems to be a good and not too fast blade for me.

Greetings from Germany
