Hi coaches,

I just received a bat I ordered online: a Donic Waldner Senso Carbon with Mark V (2 mm).

First: On the right bottom of the rubber is printed: "SOFT" - did they send me the correct rubber or is this a special softer version?

(Second, but not important for me as I don’t play in tournaments: the rubber isn’t ITTF approved, right? At least I don’t find it on the ITTF list...)

Thanks in advance!

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

The word SOFT is on the Mark V rubber.

Take a look at this image which is what the rubber should look like.

This is from the ITTF website where they list the rubbers that are approved. http://www.ittf.com/_front_page/ittf1.asp?category=rubber

One of our readers has also pointed out this app that you can access. It is a LARC (List Authorised Racket Coverings) where you can run a search for any rubber. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.fabian_wischnewski.android.larc&hl=en

Hi Alois,

thanks for your detailed answer!

Now I finally found the rubber on the list.

I´m looking forward to playing it for the first time tomorrow and hope it works well with the Waldner Senso Carbon,

which seems to be a good and not too fast blade for me.

Greetings from Germany

Thomas

No problems.  Let me know how it feels.
