Medium Pips Spin Reversal

Hi PingSkills!

Could you give me an overview of how medium pips reverses spin? I have a friend who uses medium pips, though he has no idea that he is reversing some of the spinny shots launched to him. I was thinking of teaching him the spin reversal technique since I have medium or long pips on my bat as well. Thanks!

Hi Kong,

The ball sinks into the pimples and actually keeps the ball spinning in the same direction which, when it is coming back to you actually means that the spin is reversed.

To play these strokes take a look at the lessons we have on Long Pimple Chop Block and LP Attack Against Backspin.  The Medium pimples works on the same principle but allows you to attack with them a bit easier.
