After playing for half a year with my all around stiga with mark v its time to upgrade. I have developed my style and i like fast offensive style of play. I want to get a fast and spiny new blade and rubbers. The all around taught me good control. Should i get a pretty fast new bat and sacrifice control or practice with my all around a little more

Hi Darien,

What about just changing the rubber and going for something a little faster with more spin.  You could go for the next rubber in our list of recommended rubbers which is Yasaka Pryde.  This will give you more spin and speed.

I am using xiom vega europe. I bought it because people think it has lots of spin. It is not a bad rubber but today I played someone who has mark v and he can spin the ball very well. I used to use a normal bat it is about 5 dollars. since it is not bouncy I can give lots of spin to a ball but also the rubber has not got much grip it is not very effective. I am using stiga allround ntc which has not got good dwell time and my rubbers are 2.0. I do not know the problem can you help me.

Hi Musab,

Vega Europe will allow you to spin the ball a lot.  It is a matter of getting used to it.  The racket will be a lot faster than you are used to so give it a few weeks.  Make sure first you are hitting the ball very slowly and playing your strokes with perfect technique.  If you do this you will develop control with your new racket.

Thank you Alois, I know it is very fast and also I am using stiga boost tp 2.0 for fh it is also very fast. However I am using stiga allround nct so I can control it easy but while I am serving I can not find enough dwell time. Do you have any suggestion for my serving, whicih rubber should I use for fh and bh.

Stay with what you have and just practice now.  Focus on the brushing contact you are getting.  The finer the better at this stage.
