I got my new bat today.

How can I get used to play with my new bat?

I don't have a table tennis partner, so how can I get used to my new bat alone?

Hi Fredrik,

It is always exciting to get new equipment.  The best way to get used to it is obviously to hit as much as you can.

Since you don't have a hitting partner, you could just hit the ball against the wall or up in the air. Take a look at our lesson on Practicing Alone.  This may also give you some ideas.

Good luck with that new bat.

#46 - Tournament Preparation 2

In the first week of your preparation we focused on the consistency of your third ball attack. This week, since the third ball is so important, we are going to continue working on this. However this week we are going to focus on placement. It is really important tactically to think about where you are going to play the ball. We build upon the drills from last week so you can improve the effectiveness of your third ball through placement.
