New technology blade better

Hi, table tennis blades have been around for many years. Some manufacturers are still selling blades designed 5-10 years ago. Yet, they claim that the recent blades (out 1 to 2 years) are designed using new/ latest technology. Are the new technology blades really better?
Look, I know everyone prefer different blades of different speed and feel, so I am not getting into a debate of which is the best blade. I am just asking a general question and I know exceptions do apply. The question is "generally, if I want an off+ blade, will a blade designed and out in year 2012 classified as off+ better than a blade designed in say 2005 ( also classified as off +)?"

Hi Esi,
I am not sure how much better the newer blades are. If I had to guess, I would say that they are not that much better. With this it is a matter of finding something that feels good for you.
I know I haven't helped much but I don't really think that they are necessarily better. Just different.

I think With a newer Technology they made as fast blades but more controllable With diffrent ply's.
