i have trouble because whenever i serve backspin pendulum it doesn't work and it hits my wrist.

Watch the ball carefully when you throw it up. This will help you to make a better contact on the ball.
Tyr to do this away from the table at first and just get the contact on the ball correct. Then when you feel comfortable with the contact, go back to the table and make the serve.
