Hi i've been practicing the Pendulum serve for a while now but i can never seem to get as much spin as id like i've tried brushing the ball a little bit more but my coach keeps saying that i need to hit the ball behind me more but then i get up on the return  especially if my opponent is a aggressive player okay thanks for your help.

Hi Jackson,

Check the basics.  Are you brushing the ball on contact?  Are you brushing it fast?  If so alter the hitting position in relation to your body.  This sometimes helps. Check by hitting th eball on the floor to see how much spin you are generating.

One of the tricks I tried, to see how much spin i genereted on the ball on contact, was to draw a black ine accross the equator of the ball using a blackboard marker (not sure if this is reccommended), this helped me quite a bit to see how much spin was generated and what effect a different service stroke did on the spin.
