Serving
Hi, i try doing the pendulum serve in all three variations that is sidespin, topspin and backspin.,but they all go in vain as my opponent swats them mercilessly with his backhand. No matter how low i get the serve he manages to attack it. Where should I land the serve now.
Hi Sujeet,
You can try serving the ball half long. Still work on keeping the ball low. As the ball is further away from the net it is a little more difficult for him to attack.
The kicker serve is one of our "must learn" serves. It's fast, fun, and has lots of topspin. It can be dangerous because if it's not fast enough and if you don't surprise your opponent then they may be able to attack it forcefully putting you on the defensive straight away. Used well though, and sparingly, it can be a great weapon. It can win you a point outright and it will stop your opponent from standing over the table waiting for your short serves since they need to be ready for anything.

I would like to thank Alois for the beautiful pendulum serve tutorial. It has improved with lot if practice and I'm winning against pple who used to beat me and look at me with disdain...The best part is they can't return any of my serves. Now i need to make the serves much better and also concentrate on the other strokes. Thanks a lot Alois.you are a genius
