Hi Pingskills,

How Are You Doing? It's Tom from jittricks.

My serve is just a flick of a wrist and all my opponents just backhand topspin it and I have to defend which leads to defeat.

I know this is a big favour, but can you make me a personal video on how to do it with the whole of your arm, and plus I do have serving secrets revealed but I'm quite young so I dont understand it.

many thanks,

very kind regards

Hi Tom,

Your serve is OK.  It is mainly wrist action that gets the spin on the serves. You just keep persevering with it and it will get better and better.

Have you tried to change the placement around?

If you have decent spin on your serve, you should be able to get some free points from it (depending on how good your opponents are).

One thing that seems to work really well on me is serving it mid-length to my forehand. I generally can't even get that back onto the table.

So yea, just try out different placements and vary the spin/speed too.
