Hi Coach,
For some players Third Ball Attack maybe difficult due to slow reflexes.
So how to perfectly execute a Fifth Ball Attack as we get bit time to read the ball and can plan a reply.
Hi Tushar,
I think reading the play is the key. This comes from practicing drills of 3rd and 5th ball often in training.
By doing these drills you start to get a feel for where the ball will come when you do a particular serve and then also where a player is likely to return the ball when you do a 3rd ball in a particular way to a particular position.
A chopper likes to get back from the table and get into a nice rhythm. If you keep the defender close to the table in the early part of the rally, it's hard for them to transition back into their chopping position. So keep the ball short on your serve and try and catch them unprepared. Watch the video to find out more great tactics to use against a defensive chopper.
