Can you direct me to ping pong ladder rules. I want to start a ladder at work and it would be good to distribute a set of rules.
Thanks
Hi Murray,
I tend to make up the rules depending on the group that I am working with.
Some general rules I tend to use:
1.Establish an initial ladder through a tournament or large Round Robin event where you get a chance to see all of the players.
2. Players can then Challenge anyone up to 2 positions ahead of them.
3. If you beat someone ahead of you, then you change places on the ladder. e.g. if you are 10 and your opponent is 8, and you win, you now become 8 and they become 10.
I try to make sure that players play someone above and also below them in each session.
The number of games per challenge is up to how much Tim you have. You can make it one game or best of 3, 5 or 7 games if you have more time.
Let me know if you have any other questions about it. I find it works really well as a motivational tool and for players to keep striving for improvement.
Alois tries to knock a cone off Jeff’s head… and let’s just say, it doesn’t go to plan. 😂
After a few close (and not-so-close) attempts, Jeff steps in to show how it’s really done.
Cone on head. Ping pong ball. A test of precision, patience… and pride.
Will Alois redeem himself? Or will Jeff forever hold the bragging rights?
🧠 Probably not how you should practise… but definitely how we do.
