Hi Alois and Jeff,

My friend knew about the pingskills touch tenergy and wanted it but I told him that it had way too much power and he had to learn the strokes correctly but he said he has mastered the strokes but I'm not quite sure he has so would you like to make a recommendation for which pingskills touch he should order. He is an offensive player his backhand isn't very good but his forehand smash has lots of power but he isn't showing me well understanding of spin because he can't generate as much spin as I can and I've been learning the strokes from you. So which touch would you recommend him.

Hi Toe,

If he is still learning technique then definitely the Mark V is the best way to go.  The Tenergy will be too fast for him.

It also depends on what he is using at the moment.  You don’t want it to be too big a step up in speed and spin.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
