Placing your rubber onto the blade when it is already cut

Hi,

When I am re-gluing my old rubber to my new blade, sometimes I find it very hard to place the cut rubber perfectly and it is easy to mess up unlike if you have a fresh squared rubber.

So do you have any tips on placing cut rubbers to your blade so that no space is left behind and can you please make a video out of it.

All the best,

Tri

Hi Tri,

If it has come off the same bat it should be OK unless the rubber has shrunk.

Start at the bottom, placing the bottom edge of the rubber on firmly.  Then work your way up the bat rolling the rubber on.  While you are rolling it on, focus on getting the edges placed correctly.  Do it slowly and it should work out for you.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
