Plastic v 1 Star celluloid balls

Hey hey coaches,
I haven't yet played with a plastic ball. I actually mostly play with 1-star practice balls because I can get a package of 40 for 5 dollars at a discount store near me.
I'm wondering if I should maybe get either a 3-pack of the new plastic balls to get familiar with them, or even really start using better 3-star celluloid balls.
Do the 1-star celluloid balls play drastically different?

Hi Jim,
The One star balls bounce quite differently from the new plastic balls.
For training I think a lot of things stay the same with both balls but it would be good to get some Plastic balls to practice with especially when you are playing games and when you are doing Match drills.

Gonna pull the trigger on the Nittaku premium and give those a go.
Also side question: has the podcast schedule been spaced out to once a month? I'm listening to alot of the older episodes and it seems like they were more frequent.
Yes less frequent recently due to website upgrades and travel.
