Sir,

I want to ask that how to return the ball of a player who is using the long-pimple(anti-spin) rubber. Whenever I try to chop the return , the ball just bounces too much resulting in the smash from the opponent. When I play topspin, then also ball went outside.

So please give me some tips to play against an anti-spin player.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Vaibhav,

The first thing is to judge what type of spin is coming back to you from the anti spin or long pimples.  It will be determined by what spin you have played last.  If you play a backspin ball it will come back to you with topspin.  It sounds like this is what is happening.  Perhaps you aren't reading this topspin and that is why the ball is going off the end of the table on your next shot.

Hit more forward on your topspin or when pushing come down on the ball more so that the ball doesn't go as long.

For our Premium members we have  tutorial in our Match Strategy section on Playing Against Antispin and also Playing Against Long Pimples.
