I am Manjunath alias Manchey or Munch.
As told by you, Alois today against a modern chopper I returned the ball to him in the centre of the table so that he gets confused which way he chops, but he stand 3 steps away from the Table and plays a childish sort of chop with his bat held vertically and slices the ball from left to right and I move left and the ball spins right bouncing very low and that I cant even TOPSPIN it, sometimes it bounces very low without spinning. It is impossible for me to play it. Please answer it soon,Hey pls answer soon because a new tournament is turning round the corner!
Hi Manjunath,
Watch the ball carefully so that you see which way the ball is spinning. You will soon get used to the direction of the spin after playing against it a few times.
Then use a topspin stroke with a more vertical action to lift the ball like in the stroke we show you on the lesson Forehand Topspin Off Backspin. If you brush teh ball very fats and very fine you will be able to counteract the sidespin on the ball.
