Hi sir,

I recently played against a phantom player with whom I lost. She played very close to the table and used to jab the ball whenever she used to get a chance. I thought I was not able to place the ball back on the table because I did not get enough time. Is this the problem?

Hi Anushka,

The time may be a factor but it is probably more the fact that you are not as used to the flight and reaction of the ball off the long pimples.

Try to practice against it as much as possible and you will start to get the feel of it a bit better and you will feel like you have more time.
