Playing Against Chop

i have been playing table tennis for past 1 year .haven't received any kind of training,i am just very passinate about table tennis and want to learn it so that i can play well.

Question:i find it very diffcult to pick chop balls.??? my accuracy is not good.

Hi Rakesh,

Take a look at the Lesosn on Forehand Topspin Against Backspin.  This stroke is essential if you are trying to play against backspin or chop.

The other thing to practice is to be able to push back the ball with backspin.  Take a look at the Lesson on Backhand Push.  This will help you with this stroke.

One of the main things to learn is the subtle difference of spin.  This is learnt best by hitting against a lot of backspin balls and feeling the effect of the spin.  It can be frustrating because the spin isn't always evident.  Persevere with it and you will learn more about it.
