Playing Ma Lin serves

Coach this is Lu bu Zhendu from Sichuan,china.actually my club-mate has learned the Ma lin serve quite well and playing his serves is actually difficult now, please suggest me tips to tackle his serve.

Hi Lu,

Good to hear from someone from China.

To return the Ma Lin backspin serve you need to have a very open bat.  It should almost face the roof.  Then let the spin of the ball return the ball.  The backspin will put the ball back on the table.  It is just a matter of getting the angle of your bat right.  You will find that if the ball is going back into the net you will need to turn your bat back even further.

That is excellent.  Keep practicing it because Ma Long always still practices his serve even though he is so good.
