Playing with anti

Strokes

Now that Super Block is banned, I think I'm switching to Juic Neo Anti. From what I gather, the best shots with anti are chopping against topspin and flat-hitting underspin. How do you handle no-spin balls? Any other tips for playing with anti.

Playing with anti is a little like playing with a hard bat or beginners bat.  One of the things to think about is to have your bat very flat or open at the start of the strokes.

Against a no spin ball keep your bat very open and swing through with the bat remaining quite open.  Try not to close over th enagle too early.  This will force the ball into the net.

The other thing initially is to keep your wrist quite firm on both backhand and forehand.

Also don't limit yourself to thinking you can only hit the backspin and defend the topspin.  It is possible to hit the topspin balls back as well.  Again think about keeping your bat very open and maintain a firm wrist.  Once you get the angle of your bat right you can do anything.  I like to think of it as getting the weight of the ball right.

Try this out.
