What is the difference between a 5-ply wood blade and a 7-ply wood blade in details?

Simply 2 ply...

Sorry... the 7 ply will be a bit faster as long as the same wood is used on both blades.  Equipment gets too complicated.  Look at something that feels right and then train hard.
