hi, coach i have many questions to ask,,

1.) what must be your position after you serve?because sometimes i get ready for a forehand topspin but instead my opponent is taking the ball to my backhand side ..

2.)how do you return a heavy semi long backspin or side spin serve?

3.) have you tried the yasaka malin extra offensive?i plan to get one this december.. i still think of what rubbers will i change 4 my backhand.

Hi Christian,

Firstly, after you serve you should end up in a neutral position, that is not favouring your forehand or backhand.    It is impossible to tell without doubt which side they are going to return the ball.  Take a look at the Lesson we have on the Ready Position.  This will help you with understanding your positioning at the table.

Secondly, to return a semi long serve of any sort you shul dbe trying to topspin the ball.  If semi long means the ball only bounces once on the table then the answer is definitely try to topspin.

I haven't tried the Ma Lin Extra Offensive.  It sounds like it could be quite fast. You probably need rubber with a bit more control on the backhand.
