Hi guys, a big fan of yours from Wales.

I would say I'm not a bad defensive player. But i lack power in my forehand. How can i achieve hitting shots harder/faster? When i try i usually over hit it and miss the table or goes into the net.

Is being over 6ft an issue.? Have tried playing lower and moving up when approaching the shot, but its obvious to my opponent what i'm trying to do. As well as moving away from the table to try.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

Take a look first at the Advanced Forehand Topspin.  This will help you to get the mechanics of the faster forehand.  Make sure you are putting some topspin on the ball when you are trying to hit faster.  The topspin will help the ball to dip onto the table when it is moving that fast.

Being tall shouldn't be an issue.  Focus on staying balanced and low with your legs.
