Power Loop

Strokes

Am I able to attack a heavy backspin serve by my opponent with a loop fast and powerful enough while the ball is at its peak? A backspin so heavy that even a good chopper's chop wouldn't be able to compare with. While the loop is at a 45 degree angle.

Hi Romeo,

This is possible but you need to move your bat through the stroke extremely fast.  This may not be possible for some players but this is how the better players deal with the stroke.

The speed of the racket and the friction on the rubber helps to counter the backspin on the ball.
