Is it okay to lift up the other side of the table and practicing like that?
Hi Leaonardo,
You can do that if you don't have the option of a hitting partner. It is a little bit limited though because the ball comes back to you in a different way than it would in a game but it is good for basic hitting and getting better control.
To confuse your opponent you need to produce variations in spin. Just by mixing up heavy backspin and light backspin, you make it really difficult for your opponent to control the ball. In this master class we discuss the best ways to achieve this.
