Hi Yashant,

Congratulations on taking the step and entering a tournament. It will be worthwhile having a read of the blog what to expect at a tournament.

With regards to preparation, you need to do as much as you can. If you don't have a practice partner then yes, follow the different strategies we suggest in our practicing along video. They will help you out. The most important practice you can do alone before a tournament will be serving so try and do that as much as possible.

Also try to think of the tournament as a learning experience as well. You will see a lot of good players there and can learn a lot just by watching them.

I think it is fantastic that you will be playing a tournament. Please let us know how you go. Good luck!

In the first week of your preparation we focused on the consistency of your third ball attack. This week, since the third ball is so important, we are going to continue working on this. However this week we are going to focus on placement. It is really important tactically to think about where you are going to play the ball. We build upon the drills from last week so you can improve the effectiveness of your third ball through placement.
