Strategy
Hi Alois
Thanks to your guidance (and tips) I have devised the following routine which I use before every match. I would like for you to comment on and perhaps add to it.
I read extracts from "The inner game of tennis". This book, that you suggested, has opened my eyes and changed my attitude to the game completely. It is phenomenal!
If I know the style of the players I will be facing I look at your Match Strategy section on how to play against different styles.
I have a table and a net in the garage. I get as many balls as possible and start serving. I will serve short, medium and long services in the various methods that you have indicated.
I look at real pros playing the game. Two of the best on you-tube are "best rallies from the 2014 and 2015 European games".
It may be luck but I played in a local Tournament and on the second round I knocked the top seeded player out. I got to the semi-final and narrowly lost. They were all on paper better players than me.
Kind regards
Filippo
Hi Filippo,
Firstly congratulations on your result in the tournament.
The only thing I would add to your routine is perhaps to think specifically about the opponent you are playing and if you can get a chance to watch them play in previous matches. Think about what serve or type of serve they don't like.
It sounds like you have a good routine going, especially if you are having good results while using it.
It has already been 3 years since we met. Will you happen to go to Rio as a volunteer as well?
