Hi,

I always has the problem with my grip, Sometimes is too tight that make my forearm muscle too tight that I cannot relax. Sometimes is too loose that a strong hit from my opponent almost knock my paddle off. I want to know how hard to grip my paddle. Should I change the grip pressure during my swing? What is the purpose of changing the grip pressure? Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

Your racket should be very lightly held in your hand. Β This will allow you to use your wrist and arm to best effect.

During your stroke especially when you are making an attacking stroke you will find that you naturally grip the racket a bit tighter.
