I use to use the shakehand style but now I am currently using the penhold style of holding the bat and I have been having trouble with the backhand counterhit.

Do I cross over to the other side to do it?

Any tips please tell!!

Thank you

Hi Ethan,

Take a look at our lesson on using the penhold grip.  This is on Youtube.

Here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUK7-z7Zv3Y

I think this will help you with your backhand technique.

Snake Shot

A snake shot is a type of stroke which is specifically used against a drop shot. It is usually loaded with a heavy spin so that the opponent finds it difficult to counter. The type of spin can be backspin, sidespin or topspin depending on your choice. You need to make a movement after hitting the ball to confuse your opponent.
