Problems during serve

Hi when i am trying to do a side spin serve , but ball always goes into the net or touch the net even when i am doing a pendulm serve either ball goes into net or even go staright and opponent hit the ball so badly ..so give me some advise or tutorials . Thanks .

Hi Sanky,

Think about hitting the ball into your side of the table a little closer to you.  Then hit the ball quite firmly to get it onto the other side.  If you hit the ball too close to the net on your side, the ball doesn’t have time to take off.

The next thing to think about is the brushing contact on the ball.  If you can brush the ball you will start to generate spin.

Thank you so much alois . now I can do a serve properly, and I am trying to hit the ball closer to table ,on my side during serve  .
