Hi alois and jeff,

How do i use the fade topspin stroke with a good speed and topspin.  Generally while doing this stroke i am not able to generate the sidespin like alois had shown in one of the videos.  And when I do get a little sidespin there is almost zero topspin on the ball due to which it never lands on the table.  Also i would like to see this stroke off a backspin ball if possible. I can do the sidespin topspin to right handers forehand well, but i am just not being able to do the fade topspin to their backhand which  I think is more useful.I am a right hander so i would dearly love to see a right handed video response.  None have been able to sort my problem till now so i hope you guys would be the ones!!

Hi Alok,

We will see if we get to making a video response to this one.  It may take some votes from the Premium members though.

You need to have a combination of sidespin and topspin to make the stroke effective and consistent.  Without the topspin the ball will tend to slide off the table too easily.  Like we show yo in the lesson on the Sidespin Forehand Topspin you need to use your wrist to generate the sidespin.  Just alter the angle of your racket o get it to happen.  Angle your wrist down for hook and angle it up for fade.
