Do you think there will be anymore Penhold in the pro table tennis after ( xu xin and qiu dang) retire
Hi Dayton,
It doesn't look like there will be a lot however there is a young French player who is using the Penholder grip and doing quite well in the Juniors.
When playing penhold players it is important to remember to first analyse your opponent as you would if they used any grip. What are their strengths and weaknesses? A common weakness of penhold players is their forehand block especially against a slow spinny topspin. Their backhand may be a weakness if they use the traditional style, or you may wish to explore the crossover point if they are using the reverse penhold backhand.

Outs for the English team and I went to Grantham college as a kid best player in the league and I use yasaka rasaka po forhand and I think I have a shot of getting into it and I play with huricane 3 neo on backhand
