Hello

Any advice on reading a lefties's service? I recently played against one, and I lost 11-4 , 11- 5 , and 14 - 12, mainly because of his serve that his body blocks a little.

Hi Romeo,

You should be able to see the contact of the serve even if he is left handed.

Then it is a matter of getting used to the different angle of the ball coming to you.  Watch the contact and then watch the flight of the ball and allow yourself to adjust.  There is no real mystery to a left hander’s serve, just the fact it is different.

Hi Romeo,

Try to watch the ball.  The contact will give you the best information.  If you can’t see it, ask the umpire to check the serve.

The watch the ball throughout it’s flight to get the best information about the spin and direction of the ball.
