Hi Alois and Jeff.

I live in Winnipeg (Canada).

I am having trouble in receiving mixed spin serves against a left handed player.

The serves are:

- Pure sidepin serve

-Pure under spin serve

- Sidespin mixed with underspin serve

- No spin serve

The problem arises when the contact of the ball on the rubber is hidden by him in a very deceiving manner. I am used to playing only against right handed players. I asked my coach and he said that the way he decieves the opponent is legal in table tennis.

Pls help me .

Hi Harkaran,

You should be able to see the contact of the ball when he serves.

Doubles Serving Rules

In this video we go over the somewhat complicated rules of serving for doubles in table tennis. There are a couple of extra rules for doubles that you don't apply to singles. In doubles you always serve from the right hand box diagonally to your opponent's right hand box. Each player has 2 serves each. If you've just been receiving then it's your turn to serve next.
