Dear PingSkills,

I would like to try the effect of a new blade on the same set of rubbers. Is it possible to re-glue rubbers on old blade to the new blade? Would the performance of the rubbers change? Thanks.

Regards,

Kenneth

Hi Kenneth,

That is possible to do.

The main thing is to be careful when you are removing the rubber from the old blade.  Go slowly and work around the racket to make sure you don't tear the rubber.  It will depend on the type of rubbers and how they were put on originally.

The performance of the rubbers won't change much at all when you put them on the new blade.  In fact with some fresh glue they may even feel a little faster.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!
