Return a long spinny top spin

Hello , I find sometimes players sending me a very long and very spinny top spin; this shot bounce on my side by the edge of the table and it is difficult to smash it back or block it keeping the wrist soft...so it looks like the only return should be countering it with a counter smash/top spin ? thanks in advance.
