Returning a heavy and low sidespin serve

Ive gt a new opponent who serves a heavy sidespin serve which is very low as well as rapid i tried playing a bk counterhit and block bt everytime the ball hits the net or goes out of the table.

Hi Atharva,

It sounds like he may be using a change between some backspin and topspin.  You need to watch the contact carefully and the flight of the ball.  If there is backspin then lift the ball and if there is topspin come ver your return more.  It is also better to play your shot with a bit of topspin as well to give the stroke more safety and allow it to dip onto the table.
