Hi Vineeth,

You need to think about trying to get away from the table to allow yourself some more time to see the ball.  Then it is best to make a lob.  Take a look at our lesson on the Lob

Forehand Counterhit

The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:

  1. Your feet position
  2. Your start position
  3. Your finish position

If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.

sir,its a real low smash.just above the net level.and it dips further down and so playing a lob against it is very difficult.any other way to tackle it?

Sounds like you will have to Block it then.  It is more though to keep the ball low yourself so that they don't get the opportunity to make the smash.
