returning sidespin with backhand

im really confused in returning a sidespinning ball....and my question is...when the opponent serve....he sidespin's the ball...and come straight my backhand side..im a right handed...what should i do??please help me

Hi Martin,

The key thing here is to only use the angle of your bat to steer the ball back.  Don't try to come across the ball or spin it back.

If the spin drags the ball to the left just angle your bat so that it is facing towards the right.  If the ball is dragging out the the right then angle your bat to the left.
