I check my paddle it does not look to be angled up, but many times the ball goes too high in the air. This particularly after a good server with spin.
I am waiting on your secret's revealed dvds but hoping to have some help while waiting for it.

Hi Mary,
It is probably not that the racket is angled up but more the effect of the spin. Try to actually angle your racket down towards the table more if the ball is flying up. This will counter the effect of the spin.
A really important skill in table tennis is to be able to judge if a serve will be short or long. If it's short you won't be able to take a full swing at the ball and hence will need to use either a push or a flick to return the ball. However, if it is coming long then you can make a topspin attack. In this video we give you some tips to help you judge the length of the serve and hopefully this makes you a better returner.

the grip should not be too tight as then the spin takes more effect on the racket.
