Serving
Hi coaches!
What spin can I produce with the reverse pendulum serve, I mean what effect it has? And how to return the reverse pendulum serve if it is played against me?
Nasko
Hi Nasko,
You can produce, sidespin with either topspin or backspin or just straight sidespin on the Reverse Pendulum serve. The difference comes from the angle your bat it when you contact the ball.
The principles of returning the serve are the same as for other serves. You need to use the angle of your bat to counteract the spin on the ball.
I find it a difficult serve to return because I have not played against it as much as other serves. I need more practice against it and I will start to get better at it.
Just don't tell Jeff in case I ever play him.
