Serving
I can put topspin, sidespin and backspin on my service, but i can not serve the pendulum service or the reverse pendulum sevice. How should i practice these serves?
Hi Matias,
Get the basic movements right first. Think about your start and finish positions of the serve. Also think about your stance for them. You will see all of the tips in our course on Serving Secrets.
Which serves do you like to do?
The kicker serve is one of our "must learn" serves. It's fast, fun, and has lots of topspin. It can be dangerous because if it's not fast enough and if you don't surprise your opponent then they may be able to attack it forcefully putting you on the defensive straight away. Used well though, and sparingly, it can be a great weapon. It can win you a point outright and it will stop your opponent from standing over the table waiting for your short serves since they need to be ready for anything.

On the forehand side I like the fast backspin serve and the fast topspin serve. On the backhand side I like the sidespin serve. My opponent has a hard time playing my backspin serve back on to the table.

That is great. Keep working on them and see if you can improve them even more. Work on getting more spin on the serves.
