Sir,

why do the pro players rub the top of the tennis table near the net? 

To have an extra moment to compose themselves and get a calming breath?

Hi Rex,

The disguise is that they are wiping gate sweat from their hand but in reality you are correct, it is more about composing themselves and taking a calming breath.

Maybe it also unlocks the Table Tennis Genie...
