Hi there,

I was wondering. I have a Brand new Yaping table tennis bat, ( 6 star ) premade bat, is it ok to take off the rubber it came with and maybe put on a New higher quality rubber like a butterfly rubber or something. im not sure but i dont want to waste money on a Expensive blade. I have only been playing for half a year now but ive gotten alot better and i would like to get a better bat. What do you suggest?

also, if i am able to get new rubber on my yaping racquet, what do you suggest for a player who uses requests ALOT of spin, offensive and defensive and not too expensive.

Hi Daniel,

Yes you can take off the rubber and replace it.  Take a look at the Blog titled Equipment Experiment.  This will give you an idea of what to do.

The rubber we recommend is Yasaka Pryde.
