Hello

Last year, I started to play tabletennis again so I bought new gear(my 15 year old cheap bat was just not going to do it for me anymore). A shopowner who sometimes gives us lessons watched my game sold me this combination: donic epox offensive bat; donic coppa jo silver max thickness on my FH; donic quattro formula max thickness on my BH

Now I'm thinking of changing the rubbers a little bit but I dont know what will be the best choice for me.

The coppa jo silver (integrated speed-glue effect) really has been a dangerous weapon. Its fast and has lots of spin and is good for playing low deep topspins. Only when my opponent is also an offensive player, I tempt to loose long fast rally's because the ball goes too far. should I conentrate on my technique and keep practicing , shoose another rubber: donic barracuda or acuda S2, yasaka mark V(hps),rakza7.... or might these be too fast comparing to what I'm playing now?

The quattro formula never really let me down nor did it ever impress me. It has a high throw angle and low tackiness so I can't really make it difficult for my opponents with backspin pushes or backhand serves. I tried the coppa jo silver on my backhand and it seems to work for me for counterhitting etc but might it be a good idea to use the thinner version for easier blocking/pushing? it could give me that extra piecse of tackiness I'm lacking.

Only thing I don't understand is that I have very much problems with the push. I especially seem to have this problem with the quattro formula. I have to push with my bat almost completely horizontal close to the table to be able to push the ball just barely over the net. The balls are really going low and therefore long so short pushes are not really something I can do at the moment.  If I could do something about this, it would gain me a lot of extra points in matches

Hi Thijs,

Sounds like you may be using something too fast.  It is more important to focus on some technique and get a slower rubber.  There are lots of options.  Mark V or Pryde are the two we recommend.
