Training
Alois what sacrifices should i do to become professional??
what sacrifices did you do?
Hi Francisco,
I think if you look at them as sacrifices then you may be missing the point. If you want to achieve a goal then there are things that you need to do to achieve those. If you want to become a professional player then you need to train regularly and with great focus.
I tried to train well as much as I could when I was playing. At the peak of my training I trained 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. That was when we were being coached by Mr Zhou a former Chinese National player. It was hard work at the time, but also very rewarding.
Once you've played a topspin off a backspin ball, the next forehand topspin can prove very difficult. I often see people hitting the followup forehand off the end of the table. Watch this master class to see why I think this happens and how to adjust so you can make an effective forehand followup!
