Hello Alois,

Tomorrow, I am preparing for some table tennis trials to get into my school table tennis team.

I haven't ever participated in trials this big before and I don't know what I should do to prepare for it.

Could you please explain to me what to do on the day of the trials?

Hi Gerard,

The main thing is to focus on playing your best rather than the result of the matches.

In the lead up work on making sure you are serving your best and focusing on the ball during the rally.

Good luck.  Let us know how you get on.

#47 - Tournament Preparation 3

The first 3 balls in a rally are really important. This week we want you to concentrate once again on your third ball attack and work on varying your spin, speed and placement. Remember faster isn't always better. Tactically you need to be able to think about these 3 variables.
