Hello sir,  my self siya 12 year old female, playing table tennis since age of 7, participated in state lavel championship and won title of same last year. Participated in national games in india but didn't qualified. Presently I am using tibhar mxp in my forehand and tibhar grass d tecs in back hand. My playing style at present foreheand attack and backhand fast push with near table blocks. Presently following your lessions online and strictly following 52 week training plan. Last blade which i used was pingskill touch, feel blade is small for my back hand defence & now its also damaged. Plz guide me which blade i should buy now according to my playing style? Wood or carbon? 5 ply or 7 ply? Oval or cybershape? Head heavy or light? Small blade or large size blade?   Plz guide which blades will be good for my playing style.

Hi Siya,

I think it would be good to stay with an all-round or Offensive blade but not too fast.  The pimples on the backhand will need something slower to control the ball with the backhand pimples.

It sounds like you play like Manika Batra.  She uses the Butterfly Timo Boll ZLC blade which is quite fast.  She has very good control of her strokes.

If anyone else has advice let us know.

No one has adviced me for blade.

So, I'm no expert when it comes to long pips but there are a couple of long pip players at my club and they say that if you play long pips close to the table, you want a hard stiff blade. However, according to them, that's only the case if you play long pips with a sponge, not for ox pips.

Thank you sir,

I use pips but without sponge.
